RJAM JAM SESSION (every 2nd Monday, 6-9pm, February to May and August to November) — Students from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Roots, Jazz & American Music Program host young Bay Area talent

Bird & Beckett makes room for a jam session for youth each 2nd Monday, hosted by the musicians of SFCM’s RJAM.

The Roots, Jazz and American Music program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music gives young students a world-class path to a BMus degree and the opportunity to forge a career in America’s true classical music. Diamond Heights resident/Australian native/educator Dr. Simon Rowe directs the program, now in its third year, with SFJAZZ education director Rebecca Mauleon and members of the renowned SFJAZZ Collective all filling faculty roles, giving the students the incredible opportunity to learn from and collaborate with top jazz artists on the national and international concert circuit and to perform in multiple venues in the Bay Area and around the country....
