Between a Smile and a Tear is a heartfelt celebration of the influential Belgian harmonica player Toots Thielemans. Revisiting Thielemans legacy in this project are his longtime pianist Kenny Werner and Gregoire Maret, Thielemans heir-apparent in the world of jazz harmonica. Werner and Maret bring their own sensibilities to Thieleman’s oeuvre, while never losing sight of his influence and impact.
